I have no idea where to begin this, so here goes nothing.....
Today was the day I had dreaded since the oncologist told me 5 days ago that I needed a PET scan to determine if the cancer had spread. At 3:25 PM today Eric and I sat across from my oncologist who told me that my diagnosis is a Stage IV and has spread to my bones in 3 places. As far as the next 30 minutes, I couldn't tell you a thing that was said, all I could hear were the words inside my head.....this has to be a nightmare, when am I going to wake up, why me, now what. And the thoughts didn't stop there.
As much as I have wanted to crawl in a hole, I have managed to keep myself upright for the last few hours, savoring the laughs, screams, and cries of little voices. Unfortunately, I have no other words for you tonight, only tears! So, I am cutting this post short......
I am seeking any and all prayers as our journey became a bit more difficult today and in the meantime, please make sure to give all those you love an extra special hug today!
